I've been thinking, how come there's no "Supper Hero Marvel" type of TV show with Astro boy huh??? why can't we have that, where a human ends up becoming like Astro boy, but he's not a FULL robot? he's just a "normal" kid, but with prosthetic legs and arms, I think that'll be TOTALLY awesome f we had something like that XD! A human version of the robot Anime series

Hi Shadow, and welcome to the forums!
I'd love to see that, too! I've seen many theories here as to why Astro isn't as popular as it seems he should be - guess there are plenty of reasons, but I have to say, we are a very resourceful group of fans, and a number of us have written fanfics, manga and even some animations! If you look under the fan creation forum you'll start to see what's going on out there!
Just because Marvel hasn't gotten the clue, doesn't mean we can can't take matters into our own hands!
Actually there are few fanfics (on fanfiction.net) where Astro's story has been retold where he's human or part human, as well as different ages - it gets very creative. Some folks prefer sticking only with the original story, etc. But if you're thinking outside the box, you'll find a lot of interesting things are out there!

Hmm, I wouldn't mind seeing a more human Astro. Hopefully though, we'll get this idea through after Joe Quasada leaves Marvel. Otherwise, he'll most likely have satin erase this Astro's future marriage from existence too!

Where was that stop-motion animation somebody posted a couple weeks ago . . . and Mrs. Eclipse's great re-dubs (also Astro Boy abridged by the Ministry of Science on YouTube).
As for Astro as a "comic" - maybe DC comics would be more willing to take him on? After all, Dr. Tezuka was a HUGE Superman fan (and - ahem - just look at the color combination of his "outfit" - right down to RED BOOTS!

I'd hope they could find someone who could closely mimic Tezuka's drawing style though. Thinking back to those lousy comics produced without a license years back, I thought they were UGLY.
