Anybody recognize these two characters from Tezuka's star system who played roles in this episode?
This guy (named Gordon in the episode) was played by Tezuka's Satan character who was in the 'robot land' story.
This character was played by Dr. Kiriko from Black Jack

I only recognized the old guy from bj. Hmmm.... I don't recognize the satan guy.I thought that he was just made for this astroboy ep. only... btw, your pics are x'd out. wait, so is the old guy really an old guy? lol. sorry I don't remember much of the 2003 series.

Satan goes way back in the star system. He may have had other names, and was usually drawn with stars over his nipples!

Yeah, I remember seeing these two in the 2003 anime. More examples of Tezuka Studio keeping true to Tezuka's continuum of recycling character designs.

*Looks at picture* ok, now I remember the satan guy. I didn't even recognize him. He looks very different from the 1980's version. It's too bad black jack didn't make an appearance in the 2003 series. Well he was in the ps2 game, but that's not the series. Sorry for going off topic.
