What would Astro do?

With the today being the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination. What would
Astro do today or what would Astro do on that faithful day.
Leave what you think today.
I think he would time travel and stop the shooter. An he would mourn very badly today. What do you think.

There have been a lot of "what if's" about what would have happened if JFK hadn't been killed. Such as would the Vietnam war have dragged on, would civil rights laws have been passed, etc. Johnson was a very different president than JFK.
I was thinking about a time travel story along those lines.
A common theme is that even if you could go back in time, you can't change history.
I've been thinking about a crossover between the movie "The Final Countdown" and Astro boy. Suppose Atom was thrown back in time to Pearl Harbor in 1941. What would he do? Stop the sneak attack because he is against war, or take his countries side?

I think he would time travel and stop the shooter.
Think of the critical repercussions of that choice, especially in Vietnam or with the Civil Rights movement. I think JFK would have reacted differently to the Tonkin Gulf incident differently than LBJ did but he would have still gotten America involved in Vietnam.
