Just Bought Some Production Art Of the 1960s Series

I discovered this neat little find on eBay today.

This book is comprised entirely of production artwork and model sheets used in the 1960s Astro Boy TV show. Despite the title of the auction saying that it was for the '80s series, I was able to recognize in one of the photos a character from the "Elixir of Life" episode. From the looks of it, this book was never sold commercially. I'm a bit of a sucker for production art, so I bought it. While it's condition isn't the best, the contents are what matter.

When the book comes I'll scan in some bits from it to show you guys.

Awesome find! That's got to be super rare.

I think I see the character in Novacain's avatar in the bottom middle of the second image.

Can't wait to see more pictures of it! :)

If there is some Cobalt art, I will be happy. Rare images of Atom are also a plus, too, though.

Definitely the 60s not the 80s. Note the symbol for Mushi productions, they were bankrupt before the 80s.

Hey, that's true... but I would figure that from the style. Astro's design isn't weeny munchkin-esque, and some of those character designs are too exaggerated for the more serious 80's run.

After the long wait I am happy to say that the book is finally here!
There was a lot more in it than I expected. Not only does it have character art, but there's also some pages mapping out the settings and detailing buildings. The book itself is actually quite big, so I wasn't able to fit it in my scanner. So I decided to convert my room to a temporary photo studio, using my trusty Canon to finish the job.

"Don't blow up the book!"

While this isn't the entirety of the book's contents, it's a good percentage of what was in it.

You have some of the more familiar ones like Skunk, Deadcross and Street Creep Tenma. No Lamp or Noh Uno surprisingly.

Edit:
One thing I must note is that I did a bit of Spot Healing in Photoshop to cover some parts in which you could see things like creases in the paper and some odd photo related hiccups. So if you notice any dark blots and patches in the later images, that's why.

I already saw these; they're super neat and a great artist's resource. Plus I love how they paid special attention to the fact that apparently, Cobalt's cheeks pooch when he smiles wide enough. :3c Adorable wiener; I just wish they had drawn him better...

This must have been released during the third season because Chi-tan is in it!
Can anybody translate the words pointing to Cobalt's spikes?
