I'm very sure there's already a thread for this, but has anyone in this forum seen the Astro Boy Shorts? I've seen one or two on Youtube but it seems that most of them aren't available to public. Maybe it's because they're shorts but they seemed to have REALLY high quality and the animation is gorgeous(Atom's eyes:heart

The question is, I've read somewhere(I don't remember where) that in one of the shorts Atom actually dies. Apparently he was in a fight/chase with futuristic robots and he exploded offscreen.

Is this true?

I don't know about the short you have in mind, I've only seen a tiny piece of it, but Atom's demise is clearly implied at the end of episode 193 in the 1963 series. Tezuka did find a way to resurrect him in the Manga, and I wrote a fan fiction story where I used a plot device from the first two star trek films to do likewise.

The one you've screened in particular suggests his demise, but it's also kind of vague. You'd have to see the whole thing to know what I mean...

I can't really remember the Blue Knight one much; it's been a while.

There's one with Bem in it, but if I gave away the truth, it'd spoil the ending... hm... (I think this one is floating around somewhere in full, too, so...)
