Atom in one of Tezuka's Experimental Films

Postby Tetsuwan Penguin » 10 years ago

I borrowed a DVD of Tezuak's experimental films from the library. Most of these works are completely apart from his well known anime, and don't have any of his 'Star System' characters (though Hyotantsugi do show up!). There was a surprise however in the film "The Genesis" (1968) which is loosely based on that chapter in the bible.

Tezuka depicts the world population surging, images of war, and then this frame subliminally shows up.

I had to pop the DVD into my computer and frame by frame advance to catch it!

Woah, that's so cool! What role does Atom do play in the film?

I'm not sure. That image is only one of two or three video frames, that's all he appears. Just an image of a robot used in war I suppose.
