I have none of the accounts required to post; but I was going to say that in the original version, Ochanomizu & Higeoyaji did not go to rescue Atom, but rather his parents disguised as O & H, went.

When the 1960's series came to America, they would not allow Astro to fight Lord Satan! Now the true nature of Astro ' s apocalyptic nature or heart as created by Tezuka can be seen!
The movie was just as chicken. They abandoned Tezuka's entire battle against the infernal powers, Acheron, Pluto, etc. But what are those compared to Lord Satan and his epic fight against that foe!

Astro is true iconic hero! No other ever dared to fight Lord Satan face to face in cartoonland!
