if she used her cell phone to access the internet from home and the hospital then the ip would be the same, unless her phone was roaming on a diferant carear's network at one location.

if you do a whois lookup on the ip it will tell you witch isp owns that ip

Yeah I sincerely apologize for anything I said which may have seemed out of line. Some people like the audience aspect of forums and of course the anonymity aspect to berate others ...... Which absolutely none of you have done here. I sincerely respect and admire your thoroughness. Makes for a well structured and moderated locale. In fact this is better than facebook!

diehard67: no, I did not know, but she said she was using a computer. That was the word she used.

In any case, we left the door wide open for her to give us an explanation if she had one, but she hasn't replied. Besides, I did not say she had been lying, I only let it know that the IP addresses had been the same. It is only yesterday that I said my opinion (that I thought it didn't make sense because she was posting a lot). If I had had any doubt, I wouldn't have posted here. I would have let the other members figure out themselves if as a whole, the story made sense or not.

It's okay, Fotar, I can understand your concern over our decision to let it know publicly. I understand because I share them. This is why I have tried to let her know that she was still welcome if she wanted.

there is a slim chance she could have been tethering, that is hooking up her laptop to the cellphone for internet access, if she does this at home then the ip would be the same, inorder to know for sure I would have to see the whois report for her ip.

like I said the chance that her cellphone is her only connection to the internet is slim to none these days.

but oh well, I for one will not take offence for her makeing a mistake, it kinda comes with the territory for being part of the species.
