You mean tinnitus? No, it's a sound you hear when there is no sound to hear. Very loud sounds, or loud sounds for a long period of time (from a working environment, or from listening to music) can cause this when the ear is damaged.

When it comes to my eyes and my ears, I'm very much like you, I get very anxious. As a result, when I developed tinnitus, I was sure it was never going to go away, to the point that I did suffer from insomnia as a result, especially since I really need to be in a calm environment to fall asleep and this sound wouldn't leave me!

As I said, in my case, I realized after some time that it went away in the spring and came back in the winter, and I finally made the connection with the cold. I always cover my ears now when it's cold and especially when it is windy. I rarely get tinnitus anymore, and it's not as loud when I do.

To go back to your original topic, I'm really glad it went away. :D Are you suffering from strong myopia? I do, and once I was told I was more at risk for this kind of problems. But then another optometrist said I wasn't.

I don't suffer from any kind of eye problems, as far as I know. Although I'm short-sighted and have to wear glasses.

I'm starting to wonder though if I am coming down with something though...

I have had floaters in my left eye for a few years now; they are not bright, and are droplets of blood in my eye's otherwise clear fluid. I had bright spots zipping around a few times, & these, I believe are not floaters. I laughed so hard one time, I feared I was having a stroke because of the bright jagged things zipping around. Floaters are like lava lamps, by contrast. see a doctor.

OOH! Dr. Jerk I hope you feels better soon. I'm having an entirey different eye problem: MY EYES ARE ITCHING LIKE CRAZY!!!! It might be springtime allergies and adjusting to the weather. The weather in Ohio is so retarded! It could be sunny today, but totally pouring all day the next day. Sorry I've gone way off topic.

Possibly but usually itchy eyes go away the next day for me. This usually happens during when spring comes and stuff, so it's pretty normal for me. It just drives me crazy!
