I wouldn't be surprised if no one knew anything but I'll try this anyway.
I need help finding a synopsis or plot summary of a book that I need to have finished by Tuesday. Believe it or not I failed my English course Freshmen year because my teacher that year was one of the worst teachers I've ever had. Anyone that has read any of the essays I wrote or even read parts of my story knows that I can write, so this was complete Bull S**t overall. I missed a lot of days and when I tried to make-up assignments she was not helpful and just flat out didn't care. If you're a teacher, and you really don't give a dam about your students, you shouldn't be in a classroom.
But that's enough of that, so now I'm in my Sophomore year and I'm in a credit recovery class because of this lame teacher. (I'm also in there because I'm a mathematical retard, but that's more my fault however.) Since I'm doing the English portion I'm stuck on this one part where I have to do a series of assignments based on a book I read. I couldn't pick a book I had at home, and I had to choose between a selection of books they offered.
Most of their library was composed of James Patterson. So I ended up picking a book called Black Friday which Patterson wrote and it was originally published as Black Market. Now, there are a lot of chapters in this because a single chapter in one of Patterson's books is probably about a page and a half. So as you can imagine for a full blown novel there would be a lot of chapters. Now, I'm a good writer, but I'm a very slow reader however. Sometimes I have to read a single sentence more than once in order for it to "sink in." (Especially when I'm trying to read in a class room where no one knows how to shut up.) I'm through the first half, and the teachers aren't pleased with my progress because my pacing.
They're pretty much telling me that I have to read over the weekend. I even told the English recovery teacher that it would be impossible for me to read over 70 chapters in a weekend. She basically told me to do it anyway, and if I didn't finish it by the time the weekend was over there would be re-precautions.
So I tried searching online for anything on the plot I could get about this book. Google, and of course Wikipedia which luckily in the past has helped me. But every time I tried searching, I couldn't find anything! All I found was reviews and people giving opinions on it. (And of course they were vague about the plot!)
Overall the punch line is this:
Has anyone read Black Friday by James Patterson? I really need a short description of the plot. It would save me a lot of time and stress in the long run. I know this is cheating, but I'm out of options.
Either post a response in this thread or PM me I don't care which.
This also may sound a little rude; but if you don't have anything useful to add to this... please don't bother posting.
If anyone took the time to read through all this, I admire you.
Need help finding the plot summary to a book
I didn't find a lot about it either. Nevertheless I found a link to something that looks interesting but it is truncated; you need a paying subscription to get all of it

The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Thanks for trying fafner. Looking back at what I've read, the plot seems pretty predictable. So I'm just going to re-read the last few chapters and just pretend like I read the whole thing.

As long as I get passed this whole thing I really don't care. That is a sort of mentality I have. I don't care what my grade is, even if it's a D,(Which is considered a passing grade for my school.) as long as I pass it doesn't matter.
