Did anybody watch Nik Wallenda cross Niagara Falls tonight? I only watched it because my niece & her friend wanted to watch it. It was ok, but not thrilling. lol. I live about 20 minutes from there.

I did. I found out it was on about 2 hours before it aired.

It was pretty incredible in my opinion, especially when he stopped to kneel and acknowledge the onlookers. It may not have been thrilling, but it was certainly memorable.

I was watching another show, then remembered it was on and switched during the commercials. :D I'm glad he succeeded. I was also very glad he wore a security harness; even in the circus, it's great to see what the performers are capable of, and I certainly don't need that danger factor to be entertained (it's the opposite for me actually, wouldn't want anyone to get injured or worse just for a show!).

I went to Niagara Falls a few years ago and it was great to see the area again. I remember taking a walk close to the falls in the evening and at one point I thought it was raining, but it was just water drops from the falls. I could relate a little to what the conditions were for him up there.

When he practiced the fire department was using their big hoses ro simulate the conditions.
