No she didnt pull my hair, but it still hurts when she calls me names and tries to poke my eye out with paper-airplanes, because its 'ugly'. I'll keep what you said in mind too, thanks for you help. What did you do to retaliating? :d evil: Did you get grounded for a WHOLE WEEK too??? I like making friends here, can we please be friends too?? (giggles)

I just threw myself on the bully kicking and hitting with my fists :d evil: It didn't last long though, I got a kick in the tibia, and immediately after a teacher came. The bully just fled, I never knew whether he/she got grounded or anything; I was severely reprimanded, but I don't remember if I got an actual punishment. Being reprimanded was enough of a punishment for me though :d oh:

A synonym is "rebuke". I thought for a second that I had used a word that doesn't exist, but it is in this dictionary. It might be a rarely used word though

The funny thing about bullies is, they often have worse self esteam then there victimes.

Headphones are a great idea, what kind of music do you like? I really LOVE Justin Bieber my favoritist song ever by him is called BOYFRIEND (giggles) it's from his new album called BELIEVE, its such a cute song and I love it so much! I think I will try to listen to Justin Bieber instead of hearing Tamara from now on, I just need to ask mummy and diddy if I can have an ipod or a Mp music player or something because I don't have one and I dont make money right now since I'm still in school..

I've been bullied too, either because of my weight, people called me ugly (which I'm not), or people just think I'm plain weird. I still kinda get picked on at times, but it doesn't matter right now. I got bigger problems, but that's not important right now. For one thing you shouldn't do anything physical, like pulling hair, unless she did something to you, but don't even do that because you could still get in trouble for it. If it keeps up too long, tell a teacher, principal, or counsoler. Tell any trusted adult, but tell them in private. Never shout "I'm telling!" Turst me, it's nothing but trouble. She's only bullying you because she is hurt and wants others to feel hurt too. Maybe she had a bad home life, or had been bullied herself and wants to take it out on others. It's not right though. Just be the better person and ignore her. She'll stop when it's no longer fun. Heck, maybe later in life she might even become nicer to you as she and you mature. I used to have a bully girl in elementry school, and now here we are in high school good friends. I mean, who knew?

Although it she did deserve to get her hair pulled, and a few other things. And your parents were a little too strict, grounding you for a week. I think they should have maybe grounded you for a day, but if it happens again, maybe then a week, but they are kinda right, violence should not have been the answer, even though she deserved to get her hair pulled. And before you ask, yes I would like to be your friend.

Wow!! hmy: So many people here have been (ahem) bullied before!! Why are people so mean???????? I never get called fat because Im actually really super skinny and sometimes teachers ask me if I eat enough and I tell them yes!! I love my peanut butter and strawberry jam pizzas that I eat in the lunchroom all by myself because no one wants to sit with me. But I'm gonna ask mummy and diddy for something to listen to music on so I wont feel so lonely! I get called ugly too, and I dont think I am but it still hurts to hear people say that even if it isnt even true... Thanks for being my friend too! An online dictionary!!?!! What a concept!!!!! (giggles) I looked up the word repromanded because I don't know it either. I'm still (ahem) confused

Ellen, have you told any teachers or staff that you're getting bullied? Having been there, I can say just...tell everybody. Let everybody know that you're getting harassed before it's too late.

Also "reprimanded" basically means you got a stern "talking-to". It's basically being told off by an authority figure.

I took your advice and I told my teacher about the bully. I even went to the counsilor at recess and told her too... AND I went to the principal and told him at lunch. But then in math class Tamara threw and eraser at me and the whole class laughed!!! I started to cry and they laughed even more. After school yesterday she chased me to the bus stop telling me I'd better run and that she better never catch me alone. I'm so so scared now :frown: I wish I had'nt said anything, but I'm gonna talk to mummy and diddy tonight to see if I can transfer to a new school because I don't know what else to do and I don't want her to punch me in the nose like she promised and I can't run to the bus stop everyday because I'm not a very fast runner either.

just keep telling the authorities about her trouble, sounds like she got in trouble for what she did, next step is for the school to contact her parents.

If she punches you, she will be the one to get into big troubles. And she knows it, otherwise she would have already done it instead of saying it. She is just uttering empty threats.
