How do you like your coffee?

Postby Strange Wings » 12 years ago

Being probably the biggest ignorant when it comes to the culture of coffee drinking I wondered how you guys prefer your cup. Just once a day, multiple times during daytime, or did you already go for an intravenous coffee infusion like Garfield? :)
I've should have made this into a poll...

I'm just having one cup of coffee each morning in order to wake me up.
Instant coffee in a medium-sized cup, a lump of sugar and some milk... that's it.
And no coffee at evening time or else I'm going to have trouble falling asleep. (No matter if it's caffeine-free or not) :d oh:

The only way I like coffee is if it's a frappe or certain kinds of cafe mocha. I can't stand normal coffee. The funny thing is that I come from a family of coffee drinkers. :p

Columbian coffee please . . . 2 teaspoons of Sugar in the Raw and half-and-half (kinda medium . . . not too dark and not too light). At home, before brewing, I sprinkle the ground coffee with cinnamon and almond extract.

YUM!!! :w00t:

AND - it MUST be fresh . . . after 10 minutes it starts to go bitter. My motto: "The fresher the drip - the better the brew!"

I rarely drink coffee anymore, I prefer tea. I've been going back and forth between green, oolong, white, and black teas. Currently oolong tea is my favorite, the leaves can be infused several times.

As for coffee (when I drink it) I like it black with just enough sugar to mask any bitterness. When I was working in Miami among a heavy Cuban population I used to join in at the 3pm "Cuban Coffee" break. Cuban coffee is 'Expresso' with lots of sugar. They take a few spoonfuls of sugar and add a few drops of the first thick liquid that comes out of the expresso machine and whip it up into froth which is then added to the coffee when all done and mixed well. The stuff is so strong that you only drink a 'shot glass' of it in a demitasse cup. I love the smell of the stuff, it really helps get you through the last of the day!

I've drink variations of coffees several times, but I don't particularly follow it. Beside, would suck to have a harder time getting up without coffee.

Trust me, if anyone is ignorant about coffee, its me.

I like to have iced coffee with hazelnut cream or chai spice.
