Eh, my mom bought him from a store. He wasn't grown by us- but he does seem to be getting bigger. He's definitely grown a bit (he's even got another new little sprout! ).

These guys are hard to find, actually. My brother says that it's actually illegal to take one out of the country, but I'm not sure if it's true or not. I DO know that it's illegal to remove plants growing in the wild; I'm pretty sure I learned that from the news after some guys or something tried to poach them. They're either considered threatened or endangered; I'm not too sure which.
