Original Characters

A thread to talk about your original characters, whether fan OCs or not. My OCs aren't fan OCs strictly speaking, though I put them in Atomu doujinshis a lot.

But anyways, my OCs are mostly from my original manga "Kazenoya: The House that Soared Through the Wind". It has about 40 characters not including the "backround characters" such as the boy on the bike or the old lady in the bookshop.

You've probably heard of my character "Yuuki" if you've read my previous posts. Here I will mention that Yuuki is her pen name actually and her real name is Mikuko Kazama, Mikuko meaning "child of the future". She happens to be a robot.

I have lots of original characters <3. My favorites are the Core Group, of the ones that directly interact with my avatar, and the cast of CyberSaber7, the book I published last December.


Core:
Allie, Charlie, and Nawrocki
TheGreatAllie, a youthful, exuberant caricature of myself with exaggerated flaws that strive to make her endearing. She loves cartoons and all sorts of games, both video and real life.
Nawrocki, a talking carnivorous plant with various backstories ranging from imaginary friend made real to outer-space alien. Nawrocki is the personification of anger, but never let it be said that he doesn't have the capacity to be nice, as long as no one is looking
Charlie (the Clever Arachnid), a poisonous wolf spider, mascot of Allie's fictitious company, and nicest guy you could ever meet. Charlie is a good friend through and through, and would do anything to keep his friends happy. Often he must be the peacekeeper between Allie and Nawrocki
Newcomer Johannes von Owlbear
Johannes is from 1800s Austria, a scholar, and biographer of Mozart. He jumps through time to visit Allie in modern-day Baltimore to be her teacher. He's very strict and serious, but doesn't have as much trouble fitting in as it would seem. He was born in Salzburg but moved to Vienna once he became an adult.

There's not much I can say about [url="http://thegreatallie.deviantart.com/gallery/47009589"/]CyberSaber7 characters[/url] that isn't described in their descriptions, though.
There's Zafnar, the main character, token human, and mild cloudcuckoolander.
Lemonlime is sweet and shy, friend to all living things and childhood friend of Zafnar.
Fruitpunch, Lemonlime's sister who is much more feisty, outgoing, and self-interested in Lemonlime, but still a good person and great friend
Rootbeer, who's very quiet and analytical. He is much more obviously a robot, being more prone to calculate the situation rather than react on gut instinct.
Landlord, the evil landlady of Zafnar's apartment building who hates tenants and doesn't keep it a secret. She doesn't actually own the building, so how she stays employed is anyone's guess.

I only have a few OC's and not to mention my own comic series I'm making for the fun of it. (Still in the middle of chapter.1 though, cause I've no time to get around it. I have started it back in November 2013. Still working on it apparently, and the idea first popped up in June 2013.)

Btw Kuo-Yi, Kazama almost sounds like Hazama!

I have too many original characters that are not even fan characters (though a few are).

My favorite one is my android character by the name of HERONIS Hellen who was designed in the late 2050s for interplanetary space exploration after scientists of NASA deemed it too unsafe for humans to explore extraterrestrial planets, even those in our own solar system, with the current technology they had. This decision was made after a 2031 manned Mars mission (the first one in this story) ended in absolute catastrophe; crew members died on the way there, when landed and on the way back. The sole survivor barely made it back alive and quickly succumbed to stage 4 cancer as a result of quite literally cosmic radiation (it's real).

Hellen was created as an answer to the humans of that time's need for exploration and data collection - he is fully aware but one of only three of his kind. This story takes place when fully aware androids and AIs are just starting out so he's a bit lonely but takes pride in his job. Unfortunately for him it was deemed that his creation was too controversial and too costly and NASA and the community for space insight scrambled for a cheaper solution that satisfied everyone. This came in LINK U portable integration robots that allowed a human scientist to link their conscious with it to explore planets remotely while being safe on Earth. (There's some blah blah blah technical stuff as to why they can do it in real time without having to compensate for the time lag that it takes for the signal to pass between two points).

This made certain that Hellen's use was quite literally obsolete, however his father pushed for Hellen and those in charge deemed that he could be responsible for carrying out various geological experiments on Mars dictated to him by other scientists.

He's pretty quiet, somewhat submissive and non confrontational. He's not 'robotic' in personality but because of his introvertedness gets labeled as such all the time. He is constantly looking for his place in humanity and the galactic cosmos as he is a bit conflicted but not so much that he is depressed.

I just love him to pieces and this story of mine.
