I watched up to I think episode 15 of AoT and stopped because I just didn't care about anything in the show.
Basically, humanity was attacked one day by giant humanoid monsters called Titans. Their god gave them a set of three walls to live in, and all of the survivors were put into these walls for protection. After 100 years of peace, a giant titan smashed it's way into the outer wall, allowing the titans to once again kill and eat the humans (for no reason at all). Now the members of the military (survey corps) must fend off the titans to save what's left of humanity.

It sounded interesting to me at first, but once I started watching it I wasn't very pleased. There's way too much blood and gore for my tastes (it's rated M I think). The main character's lust for the death of all Titans goes form very sad to very annoying very quickly. They bring characters in to kill them off. It's more of a spoiler that someone lives than dies. I actually left off at a huge plot twist, but I honestly didn't care enough to continue. It's not horrible, but it's definitely not as good as people say it is.

The overall consensus that all my friends that enjoy anime a little more than me have all said as much; that it's not good but it's not awful really. Just that it's a typical anime, not really special. One of my friends pretty much had this to say about it; I've seen all this done before and done better.

Of course there are a lot of people that love it so it must be doing something right to appeal to them.

Back on track about Sakura Con... I don't know who ANY of these guests are... http://www.sakuracon.org/programming/guests.php

I think I only know RinRinDoll, by watching Japanese commercials on youtube before. I'm not entirely sure if she's a singer or not, but I think that's the person who I am talking about here.

So in otherwords, I've seen her before somewhere. (I think she is a singer.)

No Akio Ootsuka, or Yuko Mizutani? (Or even Makato Tezuka?) Whyyyy? O_O

Because those that run the con can't get people that cool?

Naw. The staff at Sakura Con are pretty awesome at getting guests, just this year is a bit of a flop for me as I literally don't know who ANY of these guests are nor do I have any interest in seeing them.

It would be amazing if Makoto ever did show up at a convention, but I don't think he's into that sort of thing.

In 09 it was a real treat to meet Sasaki Nozomu who was the voice actor for Yuusuke Urameshi from Yuu Yuu Hakushou, even got his autograph. He did a whole lot of other voices too but I can't remember them, I think he is most famous for his role as Yuusuke. He even sang a little. :)
