Ridiculous Films That Should Be Made

Postby EyeOdyssey » 10 years ago

This is more of a satirical thread than anything else. Talk about outlandish and generally silly film concepts that the folks at MST3K would have a field day with.

I'll begin with my pitch.

Billy the Kid Versus Santa Claus

Billy the Kid sure has gone through many adventures. He fought Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, Abbott and Costello and the Easter Rabbit! So why not have him duke it out with ol' Santa himself?
Just in time for the holiday season too!
What follows that? I guess Billy the Kid Conquers the Martians, but now I'm getting ahead of myself.

Reason: Abbott, not Abbot. Doh!

This thread reminds me of all those films that my foster father watches, like that one film, Sharknado (Anthony C. Ferrante, 2013). I do not understand how it became a feature length film.

As I recall, it was Jesse James' daughter who met Frankenstein! I remember seeing the trailers for S conquers the Martians when I was a kid, but I had to wait for TCM to actually see the film. :D

This idea comes from a cartoon, I think it was THE FAR SIDE:
The Easter Bunny Vs. Santa Claus

The bunny & his lawyers had gone to the N. Pole, and S & Mrs. C had answered the door. the caption said "Nothing personal, just business." :santa:

Revenge of the Misfits
I don't think jelly guns are very effective, but they could just throw trains. *shrugs*

This isn't exactly a movie, but more of a TV show concept, and it all comes from when my parents saw a promo for an episode of The New Girl and tried to figure out why Zooey Deschannel's behaviour was so weird:

Mom: "Maybe she's an alien trying to act out human behaviour."
Dad: "Or she's a man who was offensive to women, so now he has to live in a woman's body to make up for his misdeeds?"

Of course, no, the actual show just involves a really weird woman. Either of these concepts sound 1000x more interesting, though, particularly the last one. A coworker even suggested the idea that the viewer sometimes sees the guy as he is, in makeup or a dress or whatever, but most of the time he is portrayed by an actress living as the woman.
