Zelda: Twilight Princess (pics heavy)

Postby fafner » 14 years ago

Just for fun, I have taken images from the game Zelda: Twilight Princess while I was playing. I would not like them to sit on my server without no one seeing them :p

Beware that there may be some spoilers below ;)

First the main protagonist:
Image
Yeah, that's Link if you hadn't recognized him :p

And his girfriend. I don't remember he had had any in the past, I suppose he's growing up :D
Image

The princess Zelda:
Image

And here is my favorite character in the Zelda series: Midna
Image
Image
Don't you find she looks like a cute little imp? Links meets her quickly at the beginning of the game. At first she coerces Link into quests, but later in the game she actually asks him to go on instead, as Link progressively earns her respect.

For the most part of the game, the main antagonist is Zant:
Image
Zant without his mask:
Image
Until he reveals that he obeys his master Ganondorf:
Image
Ganondorf in his "piggy" form:
Image
He's not revealed until late in the game, because there are still somewhere people who don't know that he always is the main antagonist (except on portable consoles). Hey, I had told you there could be spoilers ;)

One of the guardian spirits, Ordona:
Image

Among the minor characters there are a few interesting ones, like the puppet master:
Image
An imp who lives in the lost woods and shows the way to Link twice during the game, not without playing games with him ;)

And here is Jovani:
Image
Jovani was a greedy man until he settled a deal with a spirit to be rich. The spirit cursed him and he became a treasure himself, even his cat. A distant variant of Midas if you want my opinion ;) Although paralyzed, he asks Link to free his soul by hunting poes.

Here are a few random places.
The Temple of Time:

Hyrule castle:

The Twilight Mirror:

Image
Which leads to the Twilight Palace:
Image

A few more images of Midna:
Image
She is perplex after finding about Zant's magic, which isn't of their kind.
And Midna after the curse that was cast on her by Zant is lifted:
Image
Midna is leaving for the Twilight Realm, maybe forever.
Image

Link showing off the Master Sword, in the ruins of the Temple of Time:
Image
The same Master Sword after it has been enhanced by the Twilight Sols:
Image

Link and Ganondorf showing off on their respective horses:
Image
Image
But no, they aren't actually facing each other. Link's image was taken toward the beginning of the game after an epic battle which spanned several areas. Ganondorf's was taken between 2 of the battles between him and Link at the end of the game.

Link and Ganondorf dueling to the death :p
Image
Ganondorf is a tough swordman, as you can see with the depleted hearts at the top left of the image ;) This incarnation of Ganondorf is among my favorite bosses

The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Good game. Just wish Link didn't look so girly... :p Prefer the Wind Waker and the other Cel-shaded style Zelda games myself.

I think they overdid the bloom in this game...(but I'm glad they decided against the Twilight realm being black and white. would've been odd...)

I never really liked the cell-shading (aka cartoon) version of Link  That's not to say I don't like the Wind Waker though :D But I must say that the combat system of Twilight Princess is the best in the whole series in my opinion. You can do the moves that were introduced in the Wind Waker, but instead of them being available only at certain times, in Twilight Princess it is possible to do them at will; especially the back slash and the helmet splitter are cool  Well at least when there is room, because they sure need room to be humanly feasible :D

In black and white? That would have been odd indeed :p

A few more pics, in stereoscopic 3D this time. They can be viewed even if you haven't the apropriate hardware, otherwise you must view the images in fullscreen and configure your hardware in "side-by-side" mode. Fullscreen is important, because a single pixel on the left or right side will ruin the way the hardware "understands" the image. If the 3D effect feels wrong, that probably means the eyes are swapped, correct your hardware settings if possible. Please note that those images are very high definition images, and require at least 1.5 Mb each. Stereoscopic 3D isn't cheap

First an image of the Lost Woods imp, blowing leaves in your face (literally with the 3D effect):

Midna and Wolf-Link:
