Has anyone here ever used Linux, Ubuntu, or other OS beside Windows on PC?

I've been using Linux since the days when you had to configure and build your own kernel to install the OS (mid 1990's).
I'd recommend Linux Mint over Ubuntu, it seems more 'polished'. Depending on how much computer 'horse power' you have I'd recommend the KDE version as it's closer to Windows in look and feel. The Cinnamon version is their 'standard', and the 'XFCE' version uses a desktop that requires less system resources (for older, memory deprived computers).
You can install the Cairo-dock app to get a Mac like application launcher.

Linux user here too. I am not using it since as long as Tetsuwan Penguin, but I still have a solid 15 years experience. If you have questions, you'll get answers
