"Goodbye", a story I am writing (preview)

Postby astro_mcfly » 19 years ago

Hello my friends. I have decided since the number of stories and art posted have been growing that now may be the best chance to share with you a piece of writing I have been working on. I am including chapters 1-2- and part of 3, but I hope you enjoy this anyway. I will tell you now that this story includes some rather "scary" moments as the motion picture association would say, so if you mind horrible things happening in stories DON'T READ THIS! I am not forcing you to do this. Anyways,
Enjoy,
Miss astro_mcfly
Oh, and if some of our artists enjoy this, I wouldn't mind a piece of fan art or two. n_n Maybe I could draw them too. I wouldn't mind. OH! and if anyone wants to see, my comic about Edwin Land is finished now and looks rather good for something I've done!
But because I know I'm boring you...

GOODBYE
Chapter 1,
My Lovely Seijitsu

The sun cast a brilliant glow on the lonely late spring evening as a young child slowly moved through the heavy air about him.
Tugging at his pocket, he pulled from it an envelope decorated with gold leafed edges. It shimmered with a brilliant glow, and cast gold shadows on the glittering sidewalk.
He put it away.
His short hair fluttered about, gently forced back by a soft, warm breeze.
He could hear the soft click of a bicycle chain from the other side of the street, but other than that, there was a still, thick layer of silence that hung about that wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon. And that was almost certain, unlike the anxious thoughts running through his mind.
It was stifling and uncomfortable walking about in his ornate suit composed with a black jacket and blue shorts, and his black loafer shoes were so tight, the back of his heels burned.
The birds began singing in the trees, and flew about every so often to touch the sky with their delicate wings.
He stopped as they beckoned him to the big house before him. To them, they chirped out “Home, this is home!” He smiled back at them, and sprinted across the vast and pure emerald lawn.
He lifted himself into a fantastic leap. His smile was beautiful and flawless, the bangs of his black hair lightly sweeping his forehead. The coat he wore was lightly trailing behind him as he flew. Catching the glow of the sun on his brilliant, glistening eyes, they effortlessly searched out a final destination for him to come to land.
“I...” He tried to speak, but the opening of the front doors meant it was time. He smacked down into a white swing, and gently pumped his legs back and forth, making it look as if nothing ever happened.
She came out of her hiding spot behind the heavy door, a blue dazzling dress trailing behind her, a glass delicately held by her gloved left hand.
“Teiko-san.”
That was her name, and indeed, this had a part to play in her life. The guest of honor. And this young boy, Seijitsu...
“Who are you, child?” She said in a strange, almost cruel tone.
“Tenshi Seijitsu. I see you like my father’s home.”
Seijitsu kicked a rock, and it sailed all the way to the road. He held firmly in his hands the chains that supported his swing. He wasn’t delighted to see her either. He heard the leaves in the trees nearby rustle immensely. Something was going on...
“It’s a party,” She said as she snapped her head in position to look at the young child. Her dark, long hair whipped the air. From there, it simply fluttered like a failing butterfly back to it’s normal position near her back.
“I was invited especially by your father, Mr. Te...”
“I know his last name, you don’t need to tell me.”
She got closer, nearing him with every delicate movement. She held out her hand and...
SLAP!
She smacked his face, now left crimson, scraped and bleeding by a ring on her finger.
But was it a hard enough blow to bleed?
“How DARE you, Seijitsu! Now, if I’d had named you, it’d be...”
“Teiko-san! What do you think you are doing to my son?”
She glared at the boy then turned her head beautifully to face Mr. Tenshi. “Sir, I... I...”
“Nonsense, back inside... Both of you.”
He stood there intently, waiting for Teiko-san to head back to the door. Seijitsu looked down as a simmering tear slid down his red cheek.
“Father...”
Mr. Tenshi grabbed Seijitsu under his arms and sat his feet on the ground. As he reached to grab his hand though, he dashed away, slamming the door behind him.
“He’s taken this very hard, but I’ve tried all I could. Someone must not want him to be helped. But... Why?”

Chapter 2,
I’ve been found out...

Seijitsu kept on running up the ebony staircase to a balcony overlooking the hall below, where charming yellow lights cast their glow on the well dressed conversing adults. They glittered in his teary eyes as he clung onto the cold metal rail with his dainty hands.
In the glass window across from him, he could see himself, a sad look of despair on his face. He stared, deep in some thought that only he knew. He lightly dampened a handkerchief with his tongue, and held it to his face.
“Is this what you want? If that’s so, you can have...”
BANG!
“Ahh!!”
His foot slipped and he toppled headfirst over the railing. His hair flew gracefully, but he was in a state of shock when he had seen something red and liquid float beside him.
“Ahh! It stings!”
He had seen a small hole in his shoe, but unfortunately for him, it was more than that. Someone had shot him from a hidden spot somewhere about the darkness.
“Oh!”
He couldn’t help but yell. He wore a look of utter horror, his eyes larger than a deer caught in bright headlights.
The guests would soon share the same feeling when they finally noticed the lurid child falling from the balcony.
“Oh my God!”
“Who is he?”
“Seijitsu... My son!”
A pack of voices cried out in agony as he slammed into a large table, creating an ear-piercing crack that made them shudder.
He lay there among a dilapidated table, a red tablecloth underneath his small body.
“I knew it.”
The crowd turned around and saw an un-surprised Teiko-san leaning against the table, lightly tipping her glass to take a drink.
She grinned as she strode to the boy’s side and gently stroked his soft dark hair.
“Tenshi, you thought you had me fooled, didn’t you, love? I hate to say this, but...”
SLASH!
“You aren’t that good with keeping a proper little secret. ‘Oh, no one must no oh dear what would they think of me if I...’”
The people gasped when they had comprehended what she had just done.
Blood dripping from a knife in her hand, she continued
“You are a dim-witted fool. Oh, and I would like to point out...”
Seijitsu looked up, then saw cold, claret colored blood sliding down the side of his face. He put his hand to the wound, and after lightly running his finger across...
“The stitches! They’re... They’re...”
“Teiko-san! Stop!”
“Are you out of your mind?”
“It’s deeper this time around, so I SUGGEST YOU GET A SUREGON!”
Her face bore an expression of pure evil as her hand came down towards him.
“EEK!!!”
Seijitsu hollered as he felt the cold blade tear through his skin, immediately followed by small beads of blood appearing on the surface.
“Well then, had enough?”
“STOP!”
Mr. Tenshi came up behind Teiko-san and threw her to the floor. He reached into his pocket and whipped his hand around behind her head. He held a gun.
“Would it help if you knew who I was, SIR?”
She put her hand to her forehead and tore off her gorgeous black wig.
“Ka... Miss Kowalk?”
“Who else, dearest?” She said as she ran her bloodstained fingers through her curly blonde hair.
Mr. Tenshi was in shock, simply looking at her with a look of disgust.
“I knew everything about you, Mr. Tenshi. Everything but a little something you never bothered to tell anyone. Your son, where does he hide? Does he simply confide himself to his room? Oh, we all knew he existed, but you never told a single breath of what happened. Oh you didn’t, and I had no clue,”
She slowly slipped her hand behind her back, and...
“But now I do. I’ll set you straight now. Confess, now, in front of all these lovely guests. Or... Well you know what I’ll do.”
She leapt up and pointed the stolen gun at Seijitsu.
“NO! SEIJITSU, RUN!”
He tried to gather his strength, and lift himself, but as his father ran towards Miss Kowalk...
BANG BANG...
As the guests ran and screamed, she wiped her hands on her dazzling blue dress.
Mr. Tenshi fell to the floor, and blood ran across the marble tile like a small stream.
“Fa... Father?”
Seijitsu, fatherless, motherless, lay helplessly in the wreck of what was once a table, wondering what he should do. Nobody knew... They wouldn’t care...
There he lay, almost alone in the shimmering hall...
Clueless.
