So someone at last voted a "yes" :D I won't make any assumption on who it might be, but maybe that person will care to give some arguments why political discussions are so important? ;) Don't be shy, after all it is possible to post anonymously.
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Have you read the text at the beginning? Do you really think it will make this forum a better place? Have you seen the deadly flamewars that erupted around political discussions? Are you aware of all the members who left this forum because they were getting sick of the flamewars?
We are not kidding on this one, this is a very serious topic.

I checked my data, and the vote occurred more than three hours before you created your account.

Fafner is right, my friend. If you had been visting this forum regularly for the past 2 years, you would have seen some heated political arguments, and also members expressing disgust at the politicization of this forum. Many such members have forsaken the forum. As the forum's purpose is to discuss all things Astroboy & any related topics, people come here with no expectations of finding political discussions. We have a love of Atomu as our common interest, & most of us also hold political opinions. If we wanted political discussions, we would find other forums which are clearly related to such topics.

I do not want my political opinions interfering with my enjoyment of this forum. I do not care if some other members hold opposing political views. I want to enjoy their company without regard to politics. I was once of the opinion that you now hold, but learned the hard way that frindship is more important than politics, at least on this forum.

If you are looking for political discussions, please look elsewhere. I like my friends, & want to keep them as friends. B)

You're new? So welcome aboard B) Just watch your steps when dealing with anything related to politics, and you should never have any problems here :D Image

Now, no one wants to claim that "yes" vote? Will it stays orphan? How sad  I can't help thinking that a single "yes" against 8 "no" has a rather light weight  Wouldn't its parent help it gain a little weight? ;)

Many people gave arguments for the "no", and the only one who voted "yes" did not care to give a single argument, not even anonymously. So I guess he/she has none. Therefore it seems clear to me that the vast majority of the members of this forum do not want political discussions, and there is no reason to impose such discussions.

Case closed :P
