I can't wait! Their going to re-release the 1954 sci fi classic "War of the Worlds!" on DVD with remastered THX and restored picture! That flick was the total Bah-shis-nye on late night television.

I had a 4 CD set of classic radio sci-fi, featuring the Orsen Welles (Wells?) radio production. I had it for almost 10 years, but only used it once. Anyway, it was cool. I think Alien Voices did its own version, I would like to see it.

I am pretty sure this movie is in colour. I have not seen it for over 10 years, but I seem to remember colour.

The Orsen Welles Radio Play is something I have always meant to listen to. I even went so far as to track it down on eMule and download it. It has been months since I got it and still have not actually listened to it.

I am pretty sure thay actually made a movie about the impact of the radio version. Apparently it was so well done for its time that vast amounts of people believed it to be true. The movie was called "The Day that Panicked America" I think. Once again, it has been well over 10 years since I have seen it, so I could be wrong. If I was not so lazy I could probably look it up online.

My favorite version of WotW has to be the Jeff Wayne Musical version from the 70's. Man I love that record. It remains one of my favorite musical works to this day.

Still have not seen the Spielburg version. Not in any rush to.

I saw the 2005 film, & was quite impressed. I had taken it in all 3 media, & the film was very close to the book in certain details, but was put in a modern setting. However, it did contain at least 1 really weak plot element that just made little sense, but was apparently necessary to support other elements. I know there is a term for this type of thing, but it escapes me.

I have the War of the Worlds audio book done by Leonard Nimoy in 1975. Fascinating, he is truely the most versitile of all the Star Trek actors and to think he once wrote a book hating Spock.
