F-14 Tomcat's last flight.

Postby Latu » 19 years ago

On the news today I saw that the U.S. F-14 Tomcat was taking its last flight and landing by my area. The new Hornet model will now be used even though it is not as fast, it can turn better, etc. I made this thread since I knew Sparx knows alot about this kind of stuff. :) Do you know any additional info?

and war!
Exceed these limitations created by man!
You must fly high! Higher than any human has ever flown before!
To reach for the future that no human has been able to so far!"

*crying eye balls out* sob sob

the F-14 tomcat is getting old now, it's first flight was in 1972 or 1973, but it was made in 1970, the plane is being replaced by the F-18 hornet becuase the F-14 tomcat can't keep up with todays techongly, it's wing wings make it to heavy and it's not stealthy enough to match todays planes. the cost to keep updating it is too much. :)
