I know Media Player Classic can open subs as well but i do not know the steps. The VLC method is all I know.

With DirectVobSub installed, as long as the subtitle file (SRT) has the same name before the extension as the video file you're playing and is in the same directory as the video, the plugin will load up and display the subs.
I use FFDShow, which can also load subtitle files:

If anyone downloads the video from that torrent, the codec it's encoded in is a weird one called AP41-"Angel Potion Definitive" a hack of Microsoft's MPEG4 codec. I'm going to change the codec header for the file on my server to be played with the divx decoder instead since installing that buggy codec can mess up your system.

Look under the FTP's episode folder, there should be a folder called "other tezuka", in that folder you should find "Hi No Tori 2772 - Ai No Cosmozone.avi" and the srt. You cant miss it.
