Vampires

I just started watching Tezuka's Vampires; I find it quite amusing, & expect to see some clips of the inside of Mushi Productions. The boxed set was only about $80 from CD Japan, & Registered Air mail was only a few dollars.

Rock is very nasty, & Chippei is absolutely adorable. He changes from human to wolf by rolling head over heels.

I've read Vampires, in French, and found the series extremely enjoyable. It's one of my favorite series by Tezuka, actually. Although, I heard the television series wasn't very good, and that even Tezuka himself didn't like it...
Is that true?

I have the DVD set, but have only watched it once. As I only know a handful of Japanese words, I relied upon the episode guide from the old Tezuka site for the stories' plots; I thought it was ok, though.
