Yeah, I've seen Jungle Emperor Leo a couple times and have mixed feelings about it. The whole circus business (and in fact almost everything with Lune) didn't feel particularly well executed to me. I'm stuck in the same boat everyone else is--namely, without the Jungle Emperor manga to read, its hard to know if this is how Tezuka originally wrote it or is more of an Astro homage. I think parts of this film are absolutely amazing, but in its totality, it isn't a FANTASTIC film. Still, watching this together with the Kimba set is about the closest we're going to get right now to grasping the whole story arc.

Another case of Cybotron misusing the quote button.

Rule: If you are going to use the quote button, you must say something relevant to what you are quoting. If you do not say something relevant to the quoted material, just use the regular respond feature! :angry:

No, I cannot recall any with locusts or giant grasshoppers, unless he had something do do with

the beginning of the end, but was not credited for it.

I just gotta check out the MST3K version one of these days. :lol: The only one I have seen so far, is "Mystery Science Theater 3000: Eegah!" :cry:

Nobody mentioned grasshoppers until (cybotron @ Dec 8 2004, 09:01 AM). Prior to that, Blackjack, Pinoko, etc, were discussed by me, (Dec 8 2004, 11:10 AM) & (80's astro @ Dec 5 2004, 04:11 AM). Just look @ the innermost quote, it says nothing about grasshoppers.

80's astro said".....recently bought black jack up in queensland and when l was watching it l noticed pinoko's always making these puzzles one of them has the strange pig thing and princess knight and the other puzzle has a picture of astro....."

Then you said "... am just now wathing that film, Blackjack, Surgeon with the hands of God...."

Queensland and the hands of God had been mentioned.... Such astute observations.... Such sightful boys.

:lol: I thought I'd share with you the state of Queensland for real as far as the hands of God were concerned... At least in the Pagodas and temples of the South Pacific Rim and Far East. :wahah:
Because the coded King Ranger Astroboy episodes are set in the 9th realm of space. A key feature of which is a "Locust Army..."
I have to go "Optimize and Defrag" my drives. :unsure:
:wacko: The Australians will eat locusts until they puke?
@The Millenium? :wahah:
