The 3-eyed one in this movie is called Professor Aquarium (in French, aquarium is the same word as in English). Here are the transcription in French, and the English translation of the exchange between the main character and Professor Aquarium in the dungeon.

- Alors terrien, vos impressions?
He he he!
- Kudor? Le professeur Kudor?
- So earthling, your impressions?
- Not very good.
- He he, they did a dirty trick to you. You must not like water very much here.
- Not really. And you, it doesn't bother you?
- I enjoy splashing. By the way, people from this planet can live only with their feet under water. Not all the time of course, but as often as possible. He he he! On the other hand, you earthlings need food to stay alive.
- People from here don't feed themselves? That's true?
- We do not behave in such primitive ways, sir. Let's say we have a liquid diet. Other questions?
- I would like you to talk about Earth, if that doesn't bother you.
- What do you want to learn? Maybe the young ladies are very charming?
- Oh no, this kind of details doesn't interest me at all. I would like to know the past of the Earth, its shaping.
- The past of the Earth you say? Simple. Let's see, in first place, the planet Earth was born a very long time ago, exactly 40 millions of years ago (*). (birth of Earth in the background) By the way, every planets were born in a similar way.
- Don't go back until the origin of the Earth, I am more interested in the nearer past.
- Well, let's talk about our ancestors (**). They were aquatic creatures. All that is living were born inside seas. (speaks under water) We can say the ocean is the mother of all animals. During millions of years, small cells floating in water had many complex transformations until at last they formed a membrane. (images of first life forms in water, then on the surface and the sky) It is at this level of the evolution that humans appeared. They come from monkeys (gnagnagna). And compared to other animals, they are cruel and twisted. What is the cause of that? That's a mystery, I don't know the reason.
- But earthlings have the faculty to reason. If they wanted to try to understand each other...
- All this belong to dreams. There was a political man who used to have the same reasonning, but he was killed, 17 years ago.
- 17 years ago? Who was him? Tell me his name! I beg you, try to remember! Speak, I am begging you! What was his name?
- He was the professor Kudor.
- Kudor? Professor Kudor?
[/quote]
* It is worth noting that Professor Aquarium says that the Earth was born 40 millions years ago. There might have been some translation error in the French version, he might have spoken about 4 billions years in the original version (given the 4 risen fingers of his hand).
** "nos ancetres" or "our ancestors", while the Professor is not an earthling (according to what I understood)? Probably a bad wording

You beat me!
I still haven't finished the movie yet!
I was also going to write down the general plot.... unless you beat me to this one too!
I could write it right now but I already forgot the planets names.
I especially liked the world's history in the beginning. You could see the Romans, then the Middle Ages soldiers, the 1700-1800 era soldiers, the first world war and the second world war. I loved the graphical description of the wars over territories and religion. Funny little apparitions by Tezuka, Astro and Ochanomizu as well!

I don't intend to write a general plot, especially if you say you intend to do it

Yes, I was rolling on the desktop :wahah:

Yes, I actually went back because I *thought* I had seen Tezuka, and right when I was pressing the "back" button, I saw Astro

What are you doing?I have finished the download yesterday evening, and watched it this afternoon B)
I never thought it would take me so long, but I watched A LOT of *live* stuff on my computer the past few days, and as much as I wanted to finish the movie, I just couldn't tolerate sitting here again to watch more!

As for the plot, I kind of wanted to write a general one so that whoever would want to watch this without understanding French would have a better idea of what's going on.

I don't know what one can understand just from the images, but it's so weird that it must be pretty hard to follow! Here is a recap of the first 20 minutes. I would say this isn't a spoiler since I stopped where the real action began. I thought this would help understanding the general setting of the story for anybody who don't understand French. I might continue later with the rest of the story, but then it would obviously become a spoiler!
***
A bomb explodes in a spaceship which has a young family among its passengers. To save their infant boy, the parents place him into a capsule in which he will be able to survive for 200 years, hoping it will eventually land onto a planet before reaching that limit.
Prince Vif Argent ("Lively Silver" or "Bright Silver", depending on how we translate "Vif"... any take on this, fafner?) is living on planet Améthyste, where he was found on the beach by the queen and her maid Stella. Its inhabitants have a lot of respect for life. Killing an animal is forbidden. If they want to eat meat, they just eat the animals' tail so they don't die (and sometimes their tail grow back).
Inhabitants of planet Améthyste have the ability to transform themvelves into any animal/thing/shape they want, although they usually have a human form. However, unlike everybody else, Vif Argent is unable to do so, and therefore knows he's of a different race. His sister, Étoilia ("étoile" means "star"), and himself are in love, a love disapproved by everybody else because they are siblings. But because they know they don't share the same blood, they don't feel they are really siblings and think there is nothing wrong with their love.
Vif Argent's father insists that he trains to become a great warrior, even though their country is in peace. The king explains to Vif Argent that there is still a planet that keeps fighting: the Earth. The Earth used to be beautiful and fertile, just like Améthyste, until humans appeared. They killed for pleasure, destroyed nature, destroyed themselves (the illustration of the wars through history is hilarious!
), all of this because they thought their ideas were better than those who didn't share their skin color/country/religion. They also fight because of their need to enlarge their territories (again, very funny visual description here!
). Earthlings have now started to attack other planets.
The king expects them to attack Améthyste, but makes Vif Argent prmise that he'll never kill an ennemy.
Meanwhile, Étoilia convinces the maid to tell her everything she knows about Vif Argent's origins. Vif Argent and Étoilia go back to the beach, where they find the metal capsule. There Vif Argent hears a telepathic message (his sister can't hear it). He learns that he's an earthling, that his parents were murdered (in the spaceship explosion) and is told to go back to Earth to avenge their death, which of course disturbs him greatly.
He decides to leave Améthyste for Earth. Étoilia wants to go with him, but he wants her to stay so their parents won't be saddened because they both left. At that moment, Améthyste is attacked. Vif Argent tells everybody to transform themselves into animals to escape, but Étoilia refuses...
End of introduction!

The fish says "Quicksilver", while the lone word "vif" is translated as "sharp". The online dictionary talks about unpredicatle and erratic behavior for "quicksilver". I bet this is the kind of name difficult to translate. Maybe the translation from Japanese to French was already not very accurate.

They have the ability to transform, however they have to wear a magical ring for that. Of course, such a ring does not work on Vif Argent

I wasn't sure about that, so that's why I left it out. Vif Argent says "Even with the transformation ring, I can't manage to change appearance, while my sister has the ability to do so" ("Même avec l'anneau des transformations, je ne parviens pas à changer d'aspect, alors que ma soeur en a la possibilité"). I thought he implied that people didn't absolutely need to wear to ring to turn themselves into something. The ring made the king tranformed himself in accordance with his mood, and therefore unintentionally, which made me believe that the ring only made the process easier. Moreover, the queen doesn't appear to wear a ring on the beach in the beginning. The maid does, however, so you may be right. It's not very clear to me and who knows, something might have been lost in the translation!
