Thanks - would not see Avatar- why did it make more money then Astro Boy? Could not pay me to see Avatar- but AVATAR the last airbender - is a different matter and much better then Avatar

Because Avatar stayed more than 1 month in theaters, while Astroboy stayed barely a few days.
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

I see your point. I'm sure they simply use 3D because they have such a hard time getting people into theaters because of the high tech home video systems out there now. 3D is their best bet for getting people to go to the movies now. Make DVDs in 3D and the movie theaters are truly in trouble.
Wouldn't it been awesome if Astro Boy was in 3D?

Oh dear lord, they're sill making those?? *dies*
@Dragonrider1227 - It's a shame they would have to rely on gimmicks to get people to the theaters. Really, even if a movie stinks, just going is the fun part sometimes. Like, when I went to see The Crazies. The movie was totally sub-par, but that guy behind me was making jokes the whole time and I died laughing. xD (Especially since he kept quoting Deliverance, lol). In the end, the trip wasn't a loss. I enjoyed myself, even if it was a bad movie.
@Cybotron - o_o I'm going to your house for movie night.
