I used to work at canadian tire in the warehouse, the last manager I worked under there made me feel like all I was good for was heavy lifting, this at a time when my helth, both mental and physical, were starting to go south.
I took any chance I could to get out of the warehouse and away from the manager from hell, working out stock carts, helpiong out in other departments, shopping cart runs, shovaling snow, whetever else I could be dooing.
I can relate to have trouble with stress, now I can't handle any stress without majer problems, I have to deal with depression and anxiety problems now and things that would just annoy some people would put me in crisis mode.
when my bathroom flooded I almose cried on the phone asking my ex girlfriend if she could go bowro her dad's shopvac for me, I was haveing trouble keeping up with the water with my little 1.1 gallon vac. or how about the government being late getting me a support cheque I almost missed rent because of a noobs mistake.
I seem to be ranting.
but I cand understant how fauna would get sick from stress.

I was handling a lot of cleaning chemicals and dirty items that day (tables, cleaning the bathrooms, used mugs, garbage), and I think I accidentally forgot to use Skin Shield halfway through the day, so I probably got sick off that. I liked saying it was stress that got me ill for a while because the other cause - being invaded by germs - grossed me out.

@Astro Forever: During a busy dinner rush, this nervous British guy started trying to make a joke about the chicken burgers, which were called Chubby Chicken burgers. "Maybe they should lose some weight...but then...they wouldn't be Chubby Chickens anymore. They'd be Skinny Chickens...they'd have to change all the ads."
*seven people waiting behind him*
I played along, but for the most part, he was mumbling. He reminded me a lot of Ricky Gervais's performed awkward demeanor...except this guy's highlight of his day was asking a teenage girl about chicken.
I'm applying to a small department store called Zellers on Monday, so let's hope this works!

I feel for you, diehard. I have also had difficulties to handle stress. I would also be discouraged if I had a bathroom flood and extremely stressed. Being just about to lack money would be terrible!
Fortunately, at my current job, usually, I do not feel there is too much pressure on me, and I try not to put too much on myself either. I've had a job however that was just not for me, except I didn't realize it at the time. Going to work with your feet going into one direction, when all your mind wants to do is go back, is a terrible feeling. Once, I missed work: I was not physically sick, but on that day, I just couldn't make myself go. I understood perhaps a year or two later what it was that made me feel so bad there, and at least now I know myself better after that experience. The people there were nice, the work itself was not bad in itself, but it was just not a good fit. I felt totally out of place.
Some people are very lonely, so the casher or the teller is like their most social event of the day. I didn't mind at all when nobody else was in line. I liked that job, but of course you can't live off that for a long time and after a while, it becomes extremely repetitive and you rarely learn something new.
Best of luck at Zellers!
Does it have a photography shop?

No, but they have a big electronics section, clothing section a toy section and a dairy, all of which I wouldn't mind working in. Plus, kids my age have told me that working there wasn't fast paced and rather peaceful, so it should go well.
