I recently saw the 3D movie. While I enjoyed the story I was a bit disappointed with the 3D effects.

I kept eagerly watching out for things to appear to fly out of the screen in my direction but while sometimes that happened there wasn't very much of that.

When 3D first came out that was the whole exciting point of it: seeing things come zooming towards you. Now it's more about simple precision of depth in the picture. Still good, but not the same as I remember it.
