Well, I don't know why but I recorded myself playing it. I sort of know a strategy but it isn't working out.
Here are some of my failed attempts.

OKAY, this what you need to do in order to run:

Wait for him to lean forward. Press W+O. As his foot lands, quickly tap O. Then press Q+P, and as his foot lands, quickly tap P. Then W+O again, etc. etc. (In my first post I made a mistake.)

Of course, that's just the sequence... You need to perfect the timing on your own, which is really what makes the game so difficult.

You thought the PC version was hard? Try playing it on an iPod. If you had to go backwards, I would be at the top of the leaderboards

I basically used the same trick as most here: put a leg forward and crawl all the way as far as possible But this requires extreme patience So when I hit the obstacle and stupidly lost my balance trying to go over it I simply didn't want to try again :d oh:
