Seeing as how that's our designated "meet up" spot if we should go offline again, I thought I'd post a notice about what appears to be another php issue.

Has anyone else experienced this? You can get to the site, but not the forums?

If that is the only backup you have , then the loss of both sites to issues will isolate many.

How about we form a private facebook group as a solid backup community only we can have access into that includes both Astro Boy-online members and TIE ones in case the unthinkable occurs?

Many of us do not have a Facebook account.

I think the chances of both sites going down at the same time is very slim since they do not have the same owners.

I'm not sure what else could be good as an alternative place IF it were to happen, but I understand. Just make a plain account which only takes five seconds is all it takes; you don't have to enter info you don't want public and you can hide it from others.

If people don't like FB, I dig. It really is spotty in many spots, but for how it has stood I can see it working. Another one could be Google+,which focuses solely on a group dynamic...

Google+ demands a real identity, and if you don't give it correctly you may forfeit anything that is linked to your account, such as your gmail account. As for Facebook, that is basically the same thing except they don't enforce it as ruthlessly as Google. Anyway, if both forums are down at the same time, I *might* have an anonymous look at a public group in case the downtime seems really long, but no more.
