Homer Simpson was not sanctionned because he had discovered the truth that souldn't have been discovered, rather because that truth was proven wrong. So he was sanctionned for his support to a false truth. However this truth proven wrong was later proven true because the proof that it was wrong had been falsified, but this was never publicly disclosed in the episode. Clear, isn't it ?

Maybe you have never watched this episode, your silence can't help me to know whether you had seen it or no, so I will change my strategy again
