Who became female in that? Both?

 I've never gotten hate mail just for being a Tezuka fan...

Edit

Who became female in that? Both?

Both did. It was a gender-bent universe where most of the DC characters were gender-bent with the exception of the Joker and a couple others. This was a fic that was floating around a long time ago, like back in 2003 and it was old then. I remember a time-stamp being from perhaps 1999. :p Man I'm getting old.

Believe me, some people can be very inmature. Like this person:

"Why do you like Tezuka stuff? It's stupid and it's out-of-date and the drawings are too simple, plus Astro Boy is for little kids, blah blah blah...."

I am glad to say that that has never happened to me ever, I get more flack for being a fan of Batman than anything.

There's really nothing wrong with being a fan of anything...as long as it's not something overly violent or sexual. Why should people nag you for liking Batman? There's nothing wrong with being a Batman fan. I'm not very into Western comics myself, but I find nothing wrong with them. :)

Tetsuwan Penguin's Batman / Atom crossover was great, for one thing! ;)

People are a little twitchy about DC comics now for many things, some things that I cannot discuss on ABO as it would inevitably end up in political territory. I will say though that DC Comics in 2011 did massive reboot (as comic industries do sometimes) and the fans are NOT happy with many of the choices the writers made...

Also, I hate yaoi. I looked it up on the Internet one day to see what it was. Never. Again.

Oh, that. I'm not a fan of THAT stuff anymore either.

(Unless....it's a platonic relationship.)

One thing that bothers me in fanfictons in general is when the characters are totally out-of-character or when the only reason why the author writes in the first place is some sort of wish-fullfilment, with only one OC representing themselves. Generally I can't stand fics with no decent plot. Like these:
