"Astro, you must exceed the limitations that humans cannot!
You must be go beyond nationality, ethnicity,
pilosophy, and religion,
starvation and poverty,
and war!
Exceed these limitations created by man!
You must fly high! Higher than any human has ever flown before!
To reach for the future that no human has been able to so far!"

Make them. I recorded a segment of the movie onto my computer using a capture card, giving me an AVI file. Then I cropped it down to the part I wanted using VirtualDub, then loaded the AVI file into Animation Shop. I deleted every second frame and scaled it down by heaps to reduce the file size. Then I saved it as an animated GIF (one of the Save As options in Animation Shop) and put it on my web space like any other picture.

Hmmm, let's see...my favourite anime would have to be,in no particular order...

Pretty much all the Gundams
Astroboy
Voltron
Patlabor
Macross+
Ninja scroll
Rockman.exe
Captain Harlock & the other stuff with him in it,especially Galaxy express 999.

I seem to be pretty big on robots.
When a man who's hung like a horse isn't enough, they find a guy with 100,000 horsepower!

Astroboys & the women who love them, next on Sick Sad World!

My favorite animes, and this is in no particular order mind you, would have to be:

Yu Yu Hakusho
Astro Boy
Inu Yasha
Cowboy Bebop
Knight Hunters
Fruits Basket
Yu-Gi-Oh (yes, I'm a Yu-Gi-Oh fan, please don't mock me! ;)
DBZ (mostly because of Vegeta, if anything else.)

When I first saw Yu-Gi-Oh I thought "oh great another tournament game to promote trading card merchandise". But I've quite gotten in to it now. Even the big battles only last 3-4 episodes max and the story moves along at a really good pace. Lots of unexpected twists and good character development.

Is this character a vegitable? I remember a short-lived series that parodied Star Trek, called Quark. The thing was about an interplanetary trash truck, and its oddball assortment of crew members.

I think in one episode someone insulted him by calling him Vegetable Eater.

I usually don't get to see much anime', but if you see my list of animated programs and movies, you will see how ecleltic my choices are.

1]AKIRA - the best there is. No other movie comes close.

2]COWBOY BEBOP - one of the coolest Anime' movies

3]FINAL FANTASY / THE SPIRITS WITHIN - woefully underrated CGI movie.

4]ANIMATRIX - A fabulous mind trip.

Now these mostly American made stuff cannot be classed as Anime' but they come really close.

5]HEAVY METAL - If you can get this movie [made in the late 70's], it will send you on a mind trip like the Animatrix.

6]SPAWN - HBO's horror toon sends chills up your spine

Now to the TV toons:

7]BATMAN, THE ANIMATED SERIES - The first versions shown originally on FOX are still the best after 12 years

8]THE SIMPSONS - I saw last night's episode, and I must say that 16 years hasn't dimmed their sharpness.

9]FUTURAMA - It's a shame that this series was abused by FOX, it was about to reach that rare plateau occupied by The Simpsons.

10]FAMILY GUY - this show is filthy, raunchy, and downright funny.

Two other shows worth mentioning, they're good but some people do not get the humor these shows presented:

11]KING of the HILL - If you watch this show, you will know why we have a simpleton like George W. Bush as President of the USA. This is an all-too accurate portrayal of the people who support him.

12]The PJ's - This claymation series humor was extremely funny, but you have to be an African-American [like me] to really know the painful truth behind the jokes.
