I'm making this thread from a hospital bed. Today on my walk to school, i was hit by a car... AND THIS GUY DID NOT EVEN STOP. HE JUST KEPT ON GOING LIKE HE DIDN'T JUST HIT A 13 YEAR OLD . Some one with SOME SYMPATHY stopped after seeing me get hit . the woman called 911 next thing i knew i was in the ambulance. So far all i know is that i have a broken leg a fractured arm and rib and a concussion. It hurts SO BAD!!!!!!!! Astro Give Me Strength!!

becuase you are younger you are more likely to heal quickly and you're alive and with freinds who love and care for you

My brother was clipped while jaywalking. He was in HS, and against school policy, left the school grounds to cross a very busy 3 lane divided street to go to a convenience store. He was not injured, & simply forgot the incident. I was not there, but I am guessing that he and the others ran across the street at a point where there was no crosswalk, because the nearest one was a block away, & the cool kids would never go that far out of their way.

So drivers must anticipate pedestrians' intent to cross where convenient regardless of traffic, though seeing them suddenly run like hell hoping that cars going 45 MPH will either stop or otherwise avoid them, assuming the drivers all see them. They simply lack common sense.

As a moderator, I do not think that my position means that I have the right to decide if what people post about them on a forum is true or not. However, when somebody claims that something serious happened to him, something that can worry other members and draw sympathy towards him, I think that it is my duty to let it know when I have some information. I don't think anybody's feelings should be manipulated, even if this is just a forum.

The information I can give you is that all of InsaneAstroboyLover's posts from the time she created this thread were sent with the same IP address she usually uses. I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

We found out not too long after the thread was created, but first wanted to double check and give InsaneAstroboyLover a chance to post herself here if she wanted to.

InsaneAstroboyLover: if you read this, and if you have an explanation over the IP address, you may tell us. If it makes sense, people will probably give you the benefit of the doubt. If this story wasn't true, people may not be happy about it but may consider you are a young person who made a mistake and be willing to give you another chance if you are truthful. But please, do not register under another account and pretend you are somebody else, even in months from now, because chances are we'll find out.

I remember being IABL's age and pretending I had a cousin, and this other thing I can hardly remember but I bet it was stupid. I have to say though, at least I didn't abuse people's sympathy. InsaneAstroboyLover, I think you need to get back in here and apologize to these people.

I understand what you mean Fauna. It seems unlikely about the boyfriend, though it's not entirely impossible that a teenager might have a romantic interest.

But that's beside the point of course. InsaneAstroBoyLover, please you don't have to make up stories to gain our friendship and affection. If you can explain the IP address issue then please do so. Otherwise please give a full apology and don't lie to us anymore. We do so want to be your friends.

I think it's possible, how serious I don't know, but then she posted from the hospital at 4:39 PM local time about an accident that had occured the very same day, suffering from a broken leg, arm, rib and concussion. She played in the "Picture the caption game" at 10:26 PM. Because I feared where this thread could go, I came here the following morning and at 6:45 AM she was here. One would have to be very though to achieve that with such injuries.

Am I right in assuming the same IP address issue simply means she couldnt have been posting from a hospital bed? I have my mobile phone internet with the same ISP as my home internet so would that be the same IP?

As for the 13 year old boyfriend/girlfriend issue.................I am a teacher (soon to become a doctor) and Im telling you they are getting into relationships even earlier than that!!!

The IP doesn't depend of the machine you are posting from, but instead of where you are in the network when you post. It is extremely unlikely that one would happen to post under the same IP both from his home and from a hospital.

Oh we have talked to InsaneAstroboyLover in private before I posted on the forum. We gave her enough time to reply, but she disappeared after one of my message (and I believe she saw it based on the timing of her last activity).

It is actually the reason why I waited for what, 2 days (?) before posting something about it in the thread, even though I had seen this earlier (but after most people replied to her the first evening).

I wouldn't have been comfortable at all with people wondering how she was going and then perhaps worrying about why she wasn't posting while I knew there was nothing to worry about. This is why I posted here.
