Disney now owns Lucasfilm and Marvel . . . Could they eventually own Tezuka?

That wasn't Disney. It was Stanley Kubrick for his movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. Tezuka was unfortunately too busy.

For what I heard, Disney also tried to hire him.
But anyway, Disney buying other companies should not be consired something really good.
They're lacking a lot of creativity nowadays that they need to buy more reliable artists.
And I don't think and neither hope they'll buy Tezuka Productions.
If they ever did, then don't expect something really going good for the franchine.

I don't exactly picture Disney ever owning Tezuka's works, but there could be chances for them to act as a distributor in North America at least. In 2009 they released Ponyo through Walt Disney Pictures and that's still a Studio Ghibli/Hayao Miyazaki film.
