I think this is the last thing an oil co. would do, knowing how eager the govt. is to declare places as off-limits for drilling.

Yeah - after this happened, the oil co.'s probably all said "Oh crap, now they're gonna really get us."
This whole thing isn't helping anyone, except the guys who sell those floating things that block the oil from the coast. :/ Oh, and DAWN. (scrubbudy-scrub-scrub!)
