You are superior in all ways for noticing this. If I recall there was an 80s Astroboy episode that had similar Lupin styles, Goliath's Head I think it was.

Episode 13 he wears an archaeologist outfit! :w00t: Like you're fooling anyone, Skunk...

I'm watching it right now! No, Skunk. You don't look suspicious at all, standing in the middle of a construction site and laughing hysterically...

Aaaand, his Mitsume Ga Tooru gang. As we can see, it is composed of 007 from Cyborg 009, Drag Queen Ben Heck, guy with hair growing out of his lips, and a 1990-era Nooj. I was gonna take more pictures, but I'll leave that to Mr_Skunk for now.

By the way, how many episodes was he in, in this series?

 I look for these things, but failed to note any resemblance to Lupin III.

Off topic, for the Lupin III fans, TCM occasionally shows a movie about L I! I admit, if I had not been so busy, I might have been looking for the original novels.

Well, the animation and background characters in that that episode are fairly similar to those of the second Lupin series, mostly during the black market auction scene and at the end. (Skip to about 5:40) And, did anyone else notice how when Skunk's tank crashes, he rolls out, only to suddenly have gloves and his coat on in the next shot?

When you say "L I", do you mean Arsene Lupin, or Castle of Cagliostro?

Arsene Lupin. The film was made in the '40s, or late '30s. I love TCM & those old crime dramas.

Now, I hate to resurrect old threads, but since we're getting more and more members here who have deviantART accounts, I'd like to take this time to promote this club once again:

 I just noticed the question!
11, 12, 13, 19, 20, 28? (as a bully), 37, & 38, though my note mention nothing of his rather unpleasant demise, I do not see any notes of further appearances. So as an archaeologist, Skunk appears in 7. :p

I already did write a fairly extensive page on Skunk, but only on his MIGHTY ATOM appearances. It is on T in E: http://tezukainenglish.com/?q=node/260

:p

I need to update it, but am currently working on Boon's chapter.
