Really? Most grad students are in their 20's and do VERY well.
I'm in my 60's and a few years ago I was taking some piano lessons and trying to teach myself from the primer books. I lost interest for a while (had to give up the lessons between jobs) but I'd like to get back to it. I might never play as well as my daughters who started way before their teens, but some of the easier stuff I could play well enough.
Oh, and I've never written any fiction stories in my life until recently.
I think that anyone that doesn't try to constantly look for new things to conquer are the ones that will end up senile. The brain is like a muscle, it needs exercise.
Hmmm I wonder if there is a version of scrabble in Japanese? That might be a good learning tool, at least at the intermediate level.......
