A clue that you know perfectly well that it won't help us find out...

I think they just want to see for themselves one member on a forum who has 100 000 posts, whoever that is."llama" wrote:note: i am not a moderator on that forum anymore and i am not llama either. on that forum 'llama' does not exist, to my knowledge.

And if you want to know what I think, well, I find it very hard to believe that somebody can manage to post 100 000 times on a forum and still not be able to tell the date of the last post in a thread...

How long did it take us to figure out that it was an 'exaggeration'? Probably a tenth of a second. However, people on this forum prefer to act with delicacy, and it's only because I was starting to get tired of taking time to give repeated explanations to somebody who, it seemed, I couldn't even trust, that I finally dare to speak my mind directly."llama" wrote:note the sarcastic exagerration. it seems like 100,000 posts, but i think its 100-something posts.
i was trying to see how long it would take you to figure out that i was testing your mind.I REALLY AM JOKE QUEEN THOUGH!!!

Just like crazyd2000 said above, and also jeffbert here, why not remain yourself? Even on the Internet, I (and many others) can feel authenticity when it's there, and it's a great quality - not just on the Internet, but in real life too. When people start questionning your good faith, chances are they won't enjoy discussing with you anymore. They'll see it as a waste of time. I know I've felt this way in the past with some people on other forums, and I just started ignoring their posts. Too bad for the great discussions we could have had.
You are young, I know people your age sometimes badly want to impress people around, but hopefully, in time, they'll be able to see that there are people around them that are ready to like them just the way they are.

I've seen numbers like these too, but that's rare, and I've yet to see 100 000 - though I'm sure when the Internet gets older, it's going to be a little more common. However, I would say llama is pretty young for such numbers!"crazyd2000" wrote:well, ive seen forums with people of 40000+ posts. But they're on constantly.

I suppose I could have passed myself for an ex-mercenary or some other thing I could never hope to be, but I preferred to be myself. By so doing I found common ground with others. Members felt free to discuss things, problems, illnesses, etc. We thus learned that we were not alone, not so unlike others.
However, if we made ourselves out to be mercenaries, assassins, etc, we might laugh at who could tell the biggest whopper, but we would still be alone. I even met a very good friend who lived only 10 minutes from me, and had tons of real Japanese anime that he readily shared with me. I would not even have known about the availability of such things if not for him.
Next time you lie, try to be a bit more realistic. I doubt you fooled anyone but yourself.
