No. it was a figure of speach.I am an ex-military brat but as the saying goes "once a military brat always a military brat" my parents were also military brats, their whole lives to be frank my dads was army/air force, my moms was navy and both worked in the air force.
and now my dad works with soldiers and katusa's (korean soldiers) all the time. my mom is a stay at home mom/homeschool teacher
the military is the reason why I live on the other side of the globe in the far east.

what I trying to point out was that yes, suffering never is something good going through and when in this it usually leaves us scarred but on that never leaves. the thing to remember about life is that, let whar was be what was, only reflect on important things physical suffering is not the same as emotional suffering. do not let past sufferings haunt you becuase it is a worthless mental battle becuase what is set in stone can only be left that way.
