Low self-esteem doesn't exactly need anything wrong with oneself. It needs an environment which tells you you aren't worth anything (even if it's not true), nothing more. A few bullies rotting your existence help a lot of course. Being different is even more helpful to get your self-esteem smashed by stupid people, such as being handicapped or simply thinking differently. Nevertheless it may need years if not decades for the damages to be fixed up.

So diehard67, you are an adept of the Mighty Penguin as myself? May I suggest you don't forget the GNU acronym before Linux to avoid incurring the wrath of RMS ? :p
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

GNU/Linux vs. Linux and RMS :D
Beyond the naming controversy, it is nevertheless good to know the difference between the kernel and the applications that make it usable by a human ;)

I hate it when, rather than actually playing music, a radio station has the DJ tell me how great of a station it is, for playing so many songs in an hour. As though, I could not figure that out for myself. :d oh:

Idiot politicians who say things like...."Anime just shows that two bombs were not enough."
"You guys have some serious Mommy issues."

Hear hear! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

Hmm...what do I hate? I hate some of the ugly cartoons that are on now like Flapjack and Adventure Time. Why do cartoon makers think kids and/or adults want to see gross-looking characters? That's one reason I like anime so much. The characters look good and the art is lovely.

I hate the job I have right now. Takes too much of my time and energy away from more important things.

I hate people who write off the Astro Boy movie because some "professional" movie critic didn't like it or because it stumbled at the box office. I'm so glad that I let my curiosity get the better of me and gave the movie a chance. It's been like a tonic for me. I get so tired of spending money on a movie only to be let down. The new Alice in Wonderland movie, for instance. Some parts of it, like the CGI, were cool, but why did it have to be a "I am woman hear me roar" story? How lame is that? (Well the only reason I saw it anyway was Johnny Depp. He is such a fun and awesome actor.) But Astro Boy was a happy surprise. THAT is what a movie should be. Involving, heartwarming, stirring musical score, with the most noble and lovable character I have ever seen in an animated movie. He even beats out any Disney character IMO.

I hate winter. I used to like it when I was a little kid, for obvious reasons (snow days and Christmas) but now it's just a pain, a cold, wet, icy, inconvenient mess. Someday I'm moving to either Florida or California, somewhere warm. If I never see another snowman again it'll be too soon.

I hate people who want the government to pay all their bills. Because that means that, sooner or later, I'M paying all their bills.

I hate Islamic fascist terrorists. Duh.

I hate okra. BLAHHH!!!!!
