Thank you everyone for being so kind a caring. Thankfully, I have nothing but good news to present you all with! My sister woke up on Sunday!
She couldn't speak because she is still on the breathing tube but when I spoke to her she recognized me and mom and - get this - I was telling her that they released pictures of the new starter pokemons' evolutions and showed her pictures of them. She knew what pokemon were and was extremely surprised by what the water type turned into. Also, Ed, Edd and Eddy was on and the nurse was changing it to the news and Jammy's heart rate went up because she was mad!
From what we can tell, we don't think she has any brain damage. The brain specialists were called in to her room to check her out and he actually said "Why are we here?" They also did an EEG on her brain and its wavelengths were all good.
Everyone in the ICU has pretty much been in her room now because they cannot believe that she can even move on her own let alone have memory and brain function in tact. According to standards, she should not even be alive right now. WAY TO GO JAMMY!!!!
Either today or tomorrow, they are going to do surgery to remove the thyroid. Also, they are gonna put a tube in her throat so she can breath (when they took her off the breathing machine she was not strong enough to cough up the mucus in her lungs so they had to put her back on it). Besides this, her kidneys are back up again and she just needs time to get back up to speed.
Thank you all for your support in this! I'll be so glad to have my Jammy back again after this is all done!
We were gonna go see her today, but...the roads are flooded! xD No driving for us today, lol.
