Black Jack is one of my favorite shows too. The TV series is fairly safe, it doesn't get too graphic. It's only available in English via fansubs though, and those come out very slowly, likely because of all the medical terms they need to translate. Would LOVE to see an official DVD release, but it's unlikely. The OVA series is, from what I understand, more for older audiences, and it's fully available on DVD in North America and likely other regions too.
