Hey guys, I know I've been a member here forever and hardly post, but something came up in a discussion with my new gf about cartoons we loved in our childhoods. and she mentions some "anime" from the late 70s early 80s called Unico, apparantly full length childrens movies and theres a trilogy. so being the geek I am, I start googling looking for info and one of the 1st things I notice is, Osamu Tezuka had a hand in the making of these films and also our beloved astro. Anyone out there know anything about these films and maybe another way to get ahold of them besides ebay? Id appreciate any feedback and response and I thank you in advance.

Nick

Hey Nick, I don't really know much about Unico. I know that Osamu Tezuka invented the character which he based some Manga on, and Sanrio (Hello Kitty) made the videos.

I captured an encoded the first video, and downloaded the second off of Bit Torrent.
I didn't know there was a third one, but you can download the first 2 off my FTP (see FTP thread in the other forum) or the first one's on http://www.suprnova.org

Unico's one of my first childhood memories aswell, I had vague memories of the second video... Kinda wonder what those animators were smoking when they made that one - no wonder I'm fubar'd :P

I know little about Unico...but have mates who remember it. He's pretty much a unicorn meant to make people happy (I got this from a fanlisting)

Ah, I should check out those videos someday:3
