Gross! I was reading a manga, & I was actually grossed out. The process was rather grusome. Anyway, there was an artificial 'person', who came out of this process, & this one was not electro-mechanical, but biological.
For now, I'll let you guess who it is, & which title features 'it'

Could this artificial person be a clone of some kind?
Frankenstein is the only character which comes to my mind, but I think I'm totally wrong with that.

And Frankenstein in the Astroboy series was a robot. So that doesn't work.

This person is from a different title, but has appeared in the 80s Astroboy series.
No, it ain't Frankenstein.

Not a clone, either.

Both
Black Jack and his assistant
Pinuku had appeared in the 80's Astroboy ep 'The Time machine', so perhaps you mean them.
Otherwise I wouldn't have any clue.
One might even consider this character:
Hyoutan-Tsugi

Pinuku it is. I waswondering about this character after watching a Blackjack video, she being quite obviously a little girl, identified her age as 18. In a story called
The Treatogenous Cystoma, Blackjack created her from a growth he removed from a woman's body (See Blackjack vol. 1. ISBN: 0-613-23686-6). By creating her, he put Victor Von Frankenstein to shame, because she had no scars, & was even quite cute.

Note that the English translation calls her 'Pinoco.'

You know, now that I am aware of this thing (Hyoutan-Tsugi) I'm seeing it everywhere. It even shows up in an episode of Kimba (and that first episode of the 60's Astroboy). I should use it as an avatar somewhere...
