Starman itself was really dumb, I read in the extras that the English editors took 3 to 4 movies, cut away almost everything that was not a fight scene, and made 1 movie from that. Although it was dumb, it was great as far as B-movies go.
Prince Planet cartoon & Starman
I saw 1 ep of Prince Planet cartoon series on a Starman DVD. Several of the characters reminded me of Tezuka's characters, but it seems to be made by others.

BOTHER!!
WHen I saw the title of this thread I instantly thought of the John Carpenter movie "StarMan", and the follow up TV series starring Robert Hayes.
Ah well, if nothing else at least it jugged my memory of a great part of my TV past that I can now try hunting down.
