Good news for those who like to listen to progressive rock music:

DREAM THEATER are about to publish their new album called 'Octavarium' on june 7th.
They're one of those bands whose records you can listen to over and over again, you still find something previously unheard in them.

SYMPHONY X is another band on which I recently got into. They're from the same musical genre as DT, however, their style is a bit more on the 'catchier' side compared to DT's.
IMO, in terms of melody lines and vocal arrangements SYMPHONY X are a bit better than DT, not only because of SX's singer Russell Allen, whose vocal abilities are far superior compared to DT's James LaBrie.

If you want to have some shivers sent up and down your spine, check out their record 'The Divine Wings Of Tragedy'.

As far as I'm concerned, my this year's musical demands are fulfilled. B)

I'm into two German industrial orchestral metal bands, not the usual ear offending trash pit stuff with screaming singers but stand-alone music. Maugdah and Seizdlitz are good if you want to make some music videos to fight series like Inuyasha or Naruto

I never heard of any of those, but I'm not that familiar with the industrial genre anyway.
However, I know that the german band Kraftwerk were one of the first which started off with industrial stuff. Rammstein too uses industrial parts for their songs.

Speaking of Rammstein, in case you want to see some good pyro effects and a singer who is crowd-surfing with a rubber dinghy towards the show's end, I suggest to visit a concert of those.
The first time as I saw them I truly was blown away.
