What does it mean when a DVD players is region free? Does that mean that it can play any region DVD?

I have this one too! :D I love it! But believe it or not, mine wasn't region free when I got it despite the store's website claiming that it was allowing to watch anything "around the world". Did they mean I could plug it everywhere in the world or what?

But it wasn't a big deal since I knew the code to make it region free. :P And watching my Astroboy DVDs, you'd never guess that they are in PAL format! :)

I had read that the remote control wasn't very good and I have to agree though... It's working well, but I still keep confusing the fast-forward button with the "next title" button! ;)

:) Same happens to me all the time, even after more than a year since I buyed this thing :P . I guess this problem is common to every DVD remote control.

While we're at it, here is mine (already set codefree in the store):

LOL! I have a Panasonic DVD recorder and the remote control is almost identical to this one! :wahah: But I never got confused on that one... Either they changed the control buttons or else it's the exception to the norm, which cause me to mix up the buttons on the DVD player I bought later... Oh well!
